Privacy Policy

The short version: Fenrir runs on your computer. Your stream, your viewers, your triggers and your points never leave it. There is no analytics, no telemetry and no crash reporting anywhere in the application — we cannot see how you use it.

What we collect

From the application: only three things, and none of them is about how you use it. Fenrir sends no usage data, no crash reports and no device fingerprinting. It contacts us in exactly these cases:

• Checking a licence or signing in. If you use a licence key or sign in, the application asks our server whether it is valid and what plan it is on — roughly once a week, and on launch. It sends an account identifier and a value derived from your key; it never sends the key itself. Our server can see which account checked in, from which machine, and when.
• Checking for a new version. The application asks our server what the newest release is when you open Settings. The request carries no account and no identifier — just the version you are running, in the request header.
• Recording that you accepted the terms. When you accept the risk warnings and Terms of Service, and you are signed in, we record that you accepted them: your account, which version of the warnings, and when. This exists so that both of us can answer “was I told about this?” with a date rather than an argument. If you are not signed in, that record stays on your computer and we never see it.

Nothing else in the application reports to us, and none of the above tells us anything about your stream, your viewers or what you do in a game.

From this website: standard server logs kept by our hosting provider, which include IP address, browser type and the pages requested. These are used to keep the site working and secure.

If you join the waitlist: your email address, and nothing else. It is used once — to tell you when there is a build to download — and it is not a newsletter, is not passed to anyone else, and is not used to advertise to you. Ask and it is deleted.

If you buy a licence: the payment is handled by our payment provider, who acts as merchant of record. They collect your email address and billing details. We receive your email address and what you bought. We never see your card details.

What stays on your computer

Fenrir stores several things locally, in its own folder. None of it is uploaded:

• Your settings, keybinds, triggers, overlay configuration and sounds.
• Your viewers’ TikTok handles and display names, if you use the points, levels or leaderboard features. This is a list of real people’s names on your disk. It never leaves your machine, and deleting the points file removes all of it.
• A record of which version of the risk disclaimer you accepted, and when.
• If you sign in, a session token. Your password is never stored, because the application never receives one — signing in happens in your own browser.

Because you are the one holding your viewers’ information, you are the one responsible for it. Depending on where you live that may carry obligations of its own.

Third parties the application talks to

Fenrir connects to TikTok LIVE as an anonymous viewer to read public stream events. It never asks for your TikTok password and cannot post as you.

The connection requires a signed WebSocket address, which is obtained from Euler Stream, a third-party service. Their terms and privacy practices are their own.

The application also contacts download sites when you ask it to install a prerequisite — for example PaperMC or Adoptium for the Minecraft server, or Plutonium for Black Ops 2. Those are the publishers’ own sites and they see an ordinary download request.

If you choose to install an update from inside the application, the installer is fetched from GitHub, where our releases are published. GitHub sees a download request like any other.

Cookies

This website uses only what is necessary to make it work and to keep you signed in if you have an account. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Your rights

Depending on where you live you may have the right to ask what personal data we hold about you, to have it corrected, or to have it deleted. For us that is generally limited to your email address and purchase record, because everything else stays on your machine where we cannot reach it.

To delete what is on your computer, uninstall the application and delete its folder.

Children

Fenrir is not intended for use by anyone under the minimum age required by TikTok’s own terms, and we do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes

If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top and say so in the application.
